Vivian Lee Finch: You know, my whole life, becoming a model was a statement I was determined to make about... overcoming odds, about proving that I wasn't limited by my condition, my scoliosis. But there's another philosophy that drives girls in this industry. And it isn't about being the best version of you, it's about being better than them. And it's bitter and petty, and... I-I just got caught up in it. Please. I want to show little girls out there who have big dreams that there is a different way to be. I want to be an example of empowerment and self-love.

Unfamiliar with anyone involved.
Verdict
By this point with American Horror Stories my expectations were already pretty low, me not liking body horror and seeing the episode was called Tapeworm pretty much confirmed I wouldn't like this.
I was for the most part entirely right as this cautionary tale of the quest for fame and beauty is though well handled still rather gross and not exactly dripping with entertainment value.
The cast do a decent enough job, but the shallow characters and un-relatable mission is highly frustrating and I couldn't find it in myself to care about their plight.
Rants
I'm a early/mid (Depends who you ask) 40's guy, I'm beyond the concept of "Fame" I don't understand the need to be something that others will approve of nor the obsession with celebrities who you'll never meet and aren't constructive parts of your life. So you see this very realistic representation of the torment these girls put themselves through and it's highly frustrating, however are they victims of society or simply masochistic fools who bring it nonsensically on themselves?
The Good
Cast were passable Some solid social commentary
The Bad
The social commentary is frustratingly shallow Undeniably gross stuff Eyebrow raising finale.
