Pulls at my heart strings.
10 August 2020
Original and based on a true story. This story pulls at my heart strings. I can see the conflict of her life and the drastic actions she takes to live her dreams and identity. Perhaps an eye-opener to make the audience aware of how what seems harmless is actually offensive. Rooting for her.

Young boy living a very adult life. Living a dream.
10 August 2020
Astonishing movie. It is like watching a puppy getting used to the world through new eyes. It is quite forward thinking in that this very young boy embraces such adult themes such as alcoholism, drugs and sex. It's mesmerising. This boy is living every boy's dreams.

Final battle is somewhat worth the wait

Timothée is one of the alluring reasons to watch this. The plot is slow to unravel but the final battle is somewhat worth the wait. Wish there was more battles but I suppose history can't be changed to satisfy my viewing bloodlust.

A bit of a slow lugging story
23 July 2020
It was alright. At times it was gruelling. And other times, my mind wondered at why I was watching this. It just was a bit of a slow lugging story. The twist was nice but the acting was quite amateur and the some bits just fell short.

Really pulls your heart strings
23 July 2020
It really is a beautiful story. The artistic style of the landscape and the people are both refreshing and enthralling. It's funny, it's cute and it's beautiful. Really pulls your heart strings. I would watch it again.

An original movie
23 July 2020
An original movie. It takes through a viewpoint of another country. There's some quite stunning scenery which makes you want to travel. The relationship between the characters feels a bit weak and having watched to the end, leave you hope that there was more to it. A controversial moment is batted away when that could have been something they could flesh out.

Shockingly abysmal movie
23 July 2020
A young, attractive teenager who is smart, lives in great house with a swimming, has rich parents who sole goal is see him success, has also quite attractive and cool friends and a potential girlfriend. I mean that's really relatable to the average teenager right? Nope. And we're meant to gun for him as his popularity on social media explodes? No thanks. While I did enjoy gawking at the youth that is Brett Blackmore (played by Eli Brown), I can't say there's much substance to this movie. It's never going to happen. Built on a dream. If anyone can relate to this, then lucky you but it leaves a bitter taste of why our lives sucks. I also don't approve the token black friend who is ALSO gay. I mean, is that just so you can tick some boxes. That story branch is lame. It adds little to an already shockingly abysmal movie.
