A Wonderful Day with Mabel Maclay (2023)
Educational, kiddo loves it & NOT ANNOYING!
I could watch this all day. And my kiddo ensures that we do!! She LOVES the marble machine, Bannerbury and the other daily machine. Oh and Jasper the dog is so cute. I love that she loves it and it doesn't drive me crazy like so many other shows!
This is one show we have on repeat and it has just become a part of our home. The characters, guests and every part of this show is so thought out.
She learns so much about her feelings as well as how to treat others. There is a focus on the educational and also the emotional intelligence. I can't speak any more highly of this show! 10/10 recommend!!
Naked and Afraid: City Slickers in the Wild (2023)
If it wasn't for Chev I would have given it a negative review
Poor Chev. Elsa is delusional, annoying, self absorbed and truly just a horrible person to watch. If it was not for Chev she would not have made it 2 hours. This episode was hard to watch. Poor Chev was really hurt and she goes "I can't do this without you. Push on". Then she proceeded to keep letting him do everything. He was a rockstar and did all the work. Is there a chance the producers just made her look bad? Sure. However it seemed every scene he was working hard and she was just complaining and then meditating. If she said "green juice" once more time I would have turned off the dang show. Long story short. I would love to see Chev with a supportive partner. He probably would have thrived.
Catching Killers: True Lies, Part 1: The Happy Face Killer (2021)
The low rated review on this episode was wrong.
1) the person who wrote the 2/10 review must have not watched the full episode because the person the cop felt empathy for was wrongfully convicted and wanted out of an abusive relationship. He felt empathy for someone spending time in prison for a crime they didn't commit. I don't think the victims family would mind that emotion. In the end the killer was caught and both cops felt good when the killer was convicted.
2) while I liked the empathetic cop the other cop seemed a bit callus and seemed like he just wanted to close the case despite if the conclusion was right or wrong. Grandmas confession seemed super off and should have been looked into more. Not sure why he closed down the case and put grandma in jail. It also rubbed me the wrong way when the callus cop seemed dead set against accepting the real killers confession. The callus cop admitted he only took the guy's confession seriously when someone he knew told him to take it seriously. That is BS. He should have took it seriously asap and not have dismissed his confession so admittedly just because he wanted to keep the case solved/closed.
I have watched every episode of this show and it is pretty outstanding. This was the only episode that bugged me.
You get a recanted confession from grandma and a confession from a good looking psychopath. I would think that one would be skeptical on the grandma confession and a little less skeptical of a psychopaths confession. I would think between his detailed confession and grandmas confession not making sense it would be enough nevermind the fact a 21 y/o woman would be more likely to want sex from the younger good looking guy than an ugly guy and a grandma.
In the end the killer is caught and that is what matters. I was just surprised to see how one cop was so adamant on keeping grandma in jail when it seemed so off from the start.
100 Days Wild (2020)
Great show if they removed Andrew & Jennifer
This show reminds me almost of Animal Farm/Socialism. The thought of "no leaders/everyone is equal" and in reality the leaders just wanted free labor and food. They are greedy, lazy and just take from others while trying to starve the people who actually work. This show is a prime example of how socialism/communism will never work.
Sweet Magnolias: If Thou Wilt, Remember (2022)
HORRIBLE season finale to a great 1.5 seasons
This show was pretty dang good for the first season and a half. After that it just gets 110% ridiculous. Maybe the writers got bored and just decided to go full blown unrealistic? Who knows.
But the cherry on top to the demise of this show was the last 10 mins of this finale. I mean... come on. Everyone watching this understands this is female garble, and I liked the dumb "hallmark" sort of feel to this show. However as I previously stated.. the last 10 mins just turned this cutesy show to annoying and frustrating. I like being entertained by shows, not frustrated at the story line and desperate grabs of drama to leave the feeling of a "cliff hanger".
Save your eyes and just watch the first 1.5 seasons of this show. The rest is trash.
Undercover Underage (2021)
10/10 The people complaining don't know the law
This show is AMAZING. It is like a modern day To Catch a Predator.
The negative reviews I find callus and just out of touch. This woman puts herself in disgusting situations so that these predators get brought to justice. I find it frustrating that so many get brought to law enforcement and they still need more abuse until they are arrested.
People saying "they need to be shown" know nothing about law enforcement. They can't show them or a law suit will follow REAL quick.
And the one review I read that said that Roo is too emotional. Omg Wtf is wrong with that reviewer?
People are humans. This is an abusive job if I ever saw one. Imagine getting talked to like that and watching disgusting predators get off all day as your job because you know it is for the greater good. You know that you taking this means that future girls don't have to be traumatized by this. She is a damn hero and if y'all don't see that you're blind.
She is selfless and is handing these abusers off to law enforcement with a bow on top.
My guess is that she is no longer going under cover due to the years of mental anguish she had to endure and that is why this is now on national TV and showing what she does.
There will always be more predators who try and get with young girls. That is the sick part.
Everyone should watch this show to really see how it is for young girls on the internet nowadays.
Signed, Sealed, Delivered: Home Again (2017)
Usually a fan of Sign Sealed & Delivered (this one sucks)
This plot was hands down the worst one out of all the episodes. Actually made my blood boil. These movies all have happy endings, they are all unrealistic and happy. There is enough negative garbage in 2021. The human aspect of this movie was completely lost. These ladies were going to lose the farm, their vase got lost in the mail. But they can't give back the vase and they have to know every single thing about the property they were shipping. So they returned the expensive vase to some rich royalty instead of giving it back to the family that had it in their family for generations... come on. I don't think I'm fully explaining the ridiculousness of this stupid episode, but I also don't care enough to write a review any longer than this one. If you love this series.... Skip this one. It is a complete miss.
Farmhouse Facelift (2021)
Design a flaw
The contractor I liked a lot. However the lady designer just seemed like she loved wasting money on bad design. Season 1 episode 1 had me cringing so hard I couldn't even fathom trying a second episode. There are a ton of home renovation shows and I guess I will stick with the other 500 that are offered.
The wood with the brick? Extra cost in laying that tile and it looked horrible... but NOT a as bad as that ceiling. The blue ceiling?? Really?? Yuck. The brick floor would have been gorgeous with a wooden ceiling.... But similar to this situation her vision is just so off.
I guess that is just one persons opinion... however I also didn't like Doug or Hildi on Trading Spaces from back in the day because they were just plain bad. Now this lady isn't THAT bad, but I would never pay for her to design any of my homes.
She seems to come with an open mind though because when the guy said he disagreed with the dark stain and showed her how a clear coat would work she realized she was wrong. I just wish he would have spoke up more with the rest of her mistakes.
The Farmer and the Belle: Saving Santaland (2020)
Worst Hallmark Christmas Movie ever made
Worst Hallmark Christmas movie ever made. Bold statement I know. Somehow this movie has the same story line as every other Hallmark Christmas movie but this one is 100% cringe worth. The main character is extremely unlikable. I understand that is the point.. she is a stereotypical unlikeable model who is full of herself and learns who she is within this movie... but she is a complete moron. The character is the worst of all Hallmark movies I have seen, and that says a lot because I have seen almost all of them.
The acting, the writing, the plot... every single thing is cringe worthy in this movie. I do not understand the high reviews, unless you're maybe 70+. I know my gram never minded bad acting and horrible plots as long as it was wholesome. I myself need a few more details before I label it a good movie. The only redeeming factor are the kids are adorable in the beginning and the models assistant is cute too. Other than that... watch a different Christmas movie on Hallmark because this ain't it.
All for Love (2016)
Different does not mean good
The movie was different than the usual. That is why I gave it 3 stars and not 2.
The plot was decent but I think the main actress is what killed it for me. The actress was just as horrible as the character she played. I know Hallmark is not know for their Oscar worthy performances, but this actress should probably focus her talents in another direction than acting.
