I magissa (2023)
Great series - very bad ending
WARNING SPOILERS
If you think Game Of Thrones's ending was bad wait till you see this one. For a Greek TV series production-casting-music-writing all are top notch. But the truths that we all were patiently waiting to be uncovered for 72 episodes have zero effect whatsoever in the ending. Andrey's storyline and heritage and his love for the female protagonist make a Jon Snow turn and become utterly useless. He simply does what he came to do in the first place, organise the Greek resistance by recruiting members for the Filiki organization. What a scam.
The villains kill themselves or escape justice like Tzanis for example (who is reunited with his love again, something that started the whole cycle of death in the first place).
Every storyline except Kanelos's has a bad ending that leave you feeling deceived. Even the female protagonist refuses to take the antidote for the poison that kills her for no obvious reason. Why do you show us that there is an antidote if it's not going to do anything? Because it's too late for the antidote to work? Come on people seriously?
All and all it's a good series to be invested to for casual viewing and to rekindle your faith in Greek fiction. But that's about it.
