New Year's Eve (2023)
A good cat and mouse chase thriller
I always like suspense dramas, especially when it takes place all in a day or a night or in one location. New Year's Eve tells a classic tale in this particular scenario. Two strangers meet for the first time after various exchanges between messages on a dating site, on a cold winter's night (New Year's Eve funnily enough).
It builds the tension up quite well with not only the main characters but the police who are spending what little time they have left to catch the killer before he/she finds their next victim. It's not a perfect film by all means but this wasn't even a 5K budget but the quality made it look worth more than that. Still recommend it.
Haunted 4: Demons (2020)
Really not impressive. Doesn't have the haunted vibe
This was a very strange film to watch on the count that this was made by some experienced filmmakers yet they're hoaxing some sort of paranormal series. Finally had the chance to watch this on YouTube cause I would never have bought the film on Amazon or something like that! It's not exactly thrilling nor is it scary. Your girlfriend will not cuddle up to you at certain moments, I guarantee that. The film equipment shown in the film is just a cheap excuse to have them exposed on camera. Steven M Smith directs literally on camera throughout the series. Just doesn't feel impressive, especially for a paranormal British film.
Sleeves (2013)
Brave for what it's trying to say
So many views on YouTube and hardly any recognition on this page. Sleeves tells a brave story about someone's girlfriend who keeps cutting herself but it isn't nessesaeily about mental health or self harm. It's about overcoming that dread and making sure you're there for the person in need.
The King (2019)
An excellent Stanley Kubrick drama
The King is an excellent movie. Timothy and R-Pattz are great together in this Knight drama and interact with each other really well. Solid gold acting from all the performers.
Jack Said (2009)
I couldn't get any enjoyment out of this
I'm sorry but I couldn't enjoy it. The film was far too boring with no value of character development and arc, or interesting story. I'd avoid if I were you!
