Deputy President (Finance & Services)

Hi! I’m Stephanie, your Deputy President (Finance & Services) for another year!

During my time as a student at Imperial, I did Biomedical Engineering! Outside of my studies, I was also the Ethics and Environment Officer for our Liberation & Community Networks, as well as the Management Group Chair for Recreation clubs, societies and projects (CSPS).

As DPFS, I am here to deliver the best services with our students and for our students, including our bars, shops, and events. I also work alongside Christian to oversee the finances of our CSPs. Beyond the "finance" and "services" aspects of my role, sustainability is another key focus for me.

I started as your DPFS one year ago because I wanted to make a positive impact on a larger and wider scale, and I have had an absolute blast in the past 12 months speaking and working with all of you and I look forward to another year to continue embedding the changes I’ve made for longer lasting impact!

A bit more about me.

A little more about me – I was born and raised in Hong Kong, and am a trilingual in English, Cantonese & Mandarin! I enjoy a good game of Mahjong, a tasty cup of bubble tea, and long, nice naps with my plushies! I also like cooking and baking, so if you have any recipes to share, please do :)

Why Imperial?

My favourite thing about Imperial are the people and friends I have gotten to know, but I also enjoy a mean pint of extra-sweet blackcurrant soda from our bars!

My 2024/25 goals.

Building upon some of my work over the past year, my goals in the year ahead include:

  • Sustainability: Delivering the Union Sustainability Strategy

  • Community: Working with students to deliver safe & inclusive events for all students, with a focus on a non-drinking centric culture, inclusion of our Postgraduate students, and a celebration of our diverse cultural communities

  • Accessibility: Ensuring accessible prices across all our services at the Union (bars, events, shops etc.)
