The Yeshiva Gedolah in Montreal was the target of two shootings in November 2023, the first on November 9 and the second on November 12.

In their statement, Jewish organizations said that they would "continue to explore every available avenue to ensure the safety and security of the Jewish community."

This marks the third time in less than a week that a Jewish school in Montreal was hit amid heightened tensions over the conflict between Israel and Hamas.

Jewish students at Concordia University have faced a large number of verbal and physical threats over the last week.

The police announced they will continue their inquiry, and revealed that a woman has been arrested in connection to violence at Concordia University.

Montreal police said that no one was injured and the damage to the buildings was minor as Prime Minister Justin Trudeau condemned the incident.
