Name of Employee: SSN/Employee ID#: School/Department: Proposed Date(s) of Leave: Teachers are allocated four (4) Personal Leave days per contract year at no cost to the teacher. Personal Leave can be taken for any reason at the discretion of the teacher. A teacher who uses no Personal Leave during a given contract year will receive an amount equal to three times the current daily Substitute B rate. Teachers who take one Personal Leave day in a contract year will receive an amount equal to two times the current Substitute B rate. Teachers who take two Personal Leave days in a contract year will receive an amount equal to the current Substitute B rate. Teachers who take three or four Personal Leave days in a contract year will receive no additional amount. A minimum of one (1) day notice (24 hours) must be given to the Principal or Supervisor before taking the Personal Leave, except in cases of emergency. Personal Leave should not be taken the day before or after a school holiday (weekdays when school is not in session for students) or during the first or last week of school. Exceptions must have the prior approval of the school Principal or Supervisor. Limitations will be placed by the Principal or Supervisor on the number of employees who can take Personal Leave on any given day at the school or location.   • One Year All full-time employees who have been continuously employed by the Employer for one (1) year shall receive one (1) week’s vacation with full pay.

  • Unpaid Leave - After Three Years For every three (3) years' continuous service, an employee may request, in writing, an extended unpaid leave of absence, giving the longest possible advance notice. Every reasonable effort shall be made to comply with such requests providing that replacements to ensure proper operation of the Employer's business can be found. Notice of the Employer's decision shall be in writing.

  • Five Years All full-time employees who have been continuously employed by the Employer for five (5) years shall receive three (3) weeks’ vacation with full pay.

  • Leave Allowed Before Due Date 6.2.11.1 The Company may allow an employee to take annual leave prior to the employee’s right thereto has accrued. In such circumstances, the qualifying period of further annual leave will not commence until the expiration of twelve (12) months in respect of which the leave so allowed was taken.

  • Beginning Date Both parties agree that negotiations for a new contract shall commence no later than 30 days after ratification of the current collective bargaining agreement in a good faith effort to reach a contract. The Association agrees to give the Board notice of intent to negotiate a contract a minimum of sixty (60) days prior to the expiration of the contract in force at the time and also notify Public Employees Relations Commission in writing of this intent.

  • Qualifying Period If a regular employee is promoted or transferred to a position, then that employee shall be considered a qualifying employee in her new position for a period of ninety (90) calendar days. If a regular employee is promoted or transferred to a position either within or outside the certification and is found to be unsatisfactory, she shall be returned to her previously held position. If a regular employee is promoted to a position, either within or outside the certification, and finds the position to be unsatisfactory, she shall be returned to her previously held position.

  • Cyclic Year Employment The Employer may fill a position with a cyclic year appointment for positions scheduled to work less than twelve (12) full months each year, due to known, recurring periods in the annual cycle when the position is not needed. At least fifteen (15) days before the start of each annual cycle, incumbents of cyclic year positions will be informed, in writing, of their scheduled periods of leave without pay in the ensuing cycle. Such periods of leave without pay will not constitute a break in service. When additional work is required of a cyclic position during a period for which the position was scheduled for leave without pay, the temporary work will be offered to the incumbent. The incumbent will be allowed at least three (3) working days in which to accept or decline the offer. Should the incumbent decline the work, it will be offered to other cyclic employees, in the same classification, with the necessary skills and abilities, in order of seniority, before being filled by other means.

  • Hire Period 3.1 The Hire Period shall commence from the Commencement of Hire as stated in the Schedule unless the Equipment is delivered by the Owner in which case the Hire Period shall commence when the Equipment leaves the Owner’s premises. If the Equipment is collected by the Owner then the Hire Period shall terminate when the goods are received back at the Owner’s premises.
