Organized by antiquity, Early civilizations, Rome into Germanic periods, more modern times and the looks from around the world, and finally a 1950's chapter

This book is a combination of the plates from several of Tilke's works published early in the 20th century. The section on historical garments has problems and a few errors. However, the section on non-European clothing is an invaluable document. The drawings are to scale, although the scale may vary from one drawing to another. ( )
