Lessons Learned:

1. Be a knowledge-seeking independent thinker. Seek to understand other people and their knowledge and ascertain why they think the way they do through dialogue and reading books. Then, do research to counter their arguments and explain to them why it is better to have a free thinking open-mind that grows with every conversation and listening ability so that they can understand where others viewpoints are and why they reached that conclusion without the individual judging or slightly them. To be kind and open-hearted in sharing your knowledge in writing through poetry, your books, or your letters so that you grow. But also thar your readers grow and understand alongside you.

2. Unafraid to speak their mind - Be unafraid to speak your mind in writing. But do it respectfully. And honestly.

3. Bank on your quiet manner - You do not have to talk. You can communicate much through nonverbal motions and cues. Leaving talking to those who love to heat their own voice. Or to blather about everything. You do you. That does not involve speaking a lot.

4. Bank on your nonengagement- Do not engage with complainers, whiners, haters, negative people, toxic people, or gossipers.

5. Stand up for what you believe is yours regardless of the opposition. And remain firm and dignified in achieving your goal.

Elizabeth Garrett:

1. Find someone to champion your dreams no matter how insignificant others may view them. Your parents champion your dreams. Not because they have to. But because they see something special and refined in you. And your mentors who love and cherish you dearly. Even if it means living with your family. That's a great thing!

2. You can handle anything if you can read (study) different issues intelligently and learn something from it. Learn one new thing a day.

3. Learn by observing. Not talking. If you learn by observing and not talking, then you will be ahead of the game because whilst others are talking, you are noticing and taking in nww information they are not or do not care to. If you talk, you are running your mouth and hearing not what others are saying but your own story and your own viewpoint. The less you speak the more you look. The more you look the less you speak. Remember people are uncomfortable with silence as the wise old owl poem points out. The more you see the less you speak because when you see others around you they speak foolishness or gossip, and it is hurtful or damaging either way. You do not want any part in that at all. Instead keep silent and do what is required when you are out without much verbal interaction or input. Besides those who take issue with your quietness really do not matter. Those who do not do matter. Truly it is your choice not to speak. Silence is beautiful. Use it! As much as possible! And you do not have to add to every single conversation. Or reach out to family members. Unless it is already rearranged from beforehand. Otherwise just read a book and observe the world around you.

4. Learn by noticing others' methods. And how they do things. And why they do it they way they do. Write it down.

5. Ask questions. That is how you learn information you do not understand. Ask questions until you understand the issue fully and completely. Never get into arguments with liars, gossipers, negative people, shut talkers, or complainers. Why? Because then they will bring you down to their level. Avoid them at all costs. Including family members who disrespect you verbally or treat you badly emotionally. Find people who treat you with respect. But treat yourself with respect and love first!

6. Seek out tutors who will help you further your studies. Especially through books! Look on the Internet or ask friends for book recommendations.

7. Use your quietness as a strength to answer questions. But write down your answers and speak them if you are able. Sometimes you are not.

8. Be attentive and take notes. When reading.

9. Do not let your intelligence become a hindrance. Hide it. Exceedingly well. Especially around your siblings some of whom think less of you. And two of whom do not trust you an iota. Or try to destroy you. Reach out to siblings who bring you joy and positivity. Avoid those who do not. No need to stay in contact with them either. Or do anything for them either. Just tell them to respect themselves first and love themselves wholly and fully. Without any hate or bitterness.

Sophia Jex-Blake:

1. Be a voracious learner. Learn everything you can about an issue through Journaling. Then move on to a similar topic that you can learn from.

2. Do not let anyone stop you from achieving your dreams. Even if you have to move to tears to do so. Achieve your dreams one step at a time. Even if it takes you years. Start small and simply. ( )
