We are thrilled to be Sustainable Pittsburgh Carbon Reduction Sprint runner-up in the Workplace Category! The Sprint involved nearly 120 organizations competing to reduce their carbon emissions. Our Department of Sustainability led the charge at our Downtown Campus to implement and track a large variety of emission-reducing strategies. Allegheny County has new open bids: "Kane Glen Hazel Kitchen Hot Water Tank Replacement" - This project is covering the Replacement of the Hot water tank for Allegheny County's Kane Community Living Center- Hazel. (Spec #9177) "Demolition of Outlet Barn on Campbells Run Road" - The structure to be demolished is a 2-story wooden barn structure formerly known as the Outlet Barn, at the intersection of Campbells Run Road and Glass Road. Allegheny County is the owner of this structure as it exists within the right of way acquired for Campbells Run Road. Any salvage value from the barnwood or timber beams should be factored into the overall lump sum bid. Conduct no sale of material while within the project limits. Asbestos abatement of the Outlet Barn was completed prior to this solicitation for demolition. No asbestos will be present on-site during demolition.
