On this Juneteenth, we at AVENUES RECOVERY CENTER reflect on the words of Coretta Scott King: "Struggle is a never ending process. Freedom is never really won, you earn it and win it in every generation." Her wisdom speaks to the ongoing fight for justice and equality, but it also resonates deeply with the personal battles we face against addiction and our past demons. Just as freedom from oppression is a continuous journey, so is the path to overcoming addiction. Each day brings new challenges, but with perseverance, we can earn our freedom and reclaim our lives.
