A little taste of life at Ben E. Keith Foods and Ben E. Keith Company!
I have never seen a company as supportive as Ben E. Keith Company. Over the course of only three weeks, I have seen the inner workings of the company and each department. I realize there’s so much more that is happening than meets the eye. Getting a closer look at Purchasing, Marketing, National Accounts, and other departments has broadened my understanding of how various individuals contribute to the company. Especially the Distributor Sales Representatives. The Distributor Sales Representatives of Ben E. Keith have one of the most interesting jobs, in my opinion. I had the pleasure of meeting two, one of which depicted below, and how they apply their methods in the field. Their interaction with their customers is an imperative aspect of their working relationship. As an ASPIRE Intern, I’ve been told that Ben E. Keith operates like a family, and I saw that come to fruition while observing the DSRs. They truly do treat their customers as if they were family. Having the opportunity to see them in action and do what they do best has been a great experience. Not only is there a familial type of relationship, there’s also a strong presence of camaraderie. With each passing day, I am becoming more interested and intrigued with all the things Ben E. Keith has to offer. I am looking forward to learning more about company dynamics and experiencing amazing opportunities.
