Donald Judd founded Chinati’s education program in 1992 as a response to the lack of art education in Marfa’s schools. Twenty-seven years later, Chinati is the major provider of arts programming in the tri-county region of far West Texas (Presidio, Brewster, and Jeff Davis counties). Chinati’s education department offers free, fun, innovative, diverse, and thoughtful programs that encourage deep engagement with the museum’s collection in a supportive, convivial classroom setting. Chinati seeks an Education and Interns Programs Manager to serve as the lead educator for a variety of educational programs at the foundation.
