Shoutout to our Climate Mitigation and Adaption Task Force! The City of Pensacola was recently recognized for its work in climate communication and environmental resilience by the Mississippi-Alabama Sea Grant, and was awarded the 2024 Spirit of Community Award. The city completed a sea level rise vulnerability assessment to identify priority action areas. This will allow the city to adapt to changing sea levels and integrate those actions into its comprehensive plan for the future.
