🎗️🧡 Rest in peace Nate Jones (9/4/24)🎗️🧡 Hundreds of #TeamCDOT coworkers, agency partners, friends and family from across the state came together in Grand Junction to honor our fallen brother, Nathan “Nate” Jones. Nate’s life was taken unexpectedly, struck by a passing vehicle while working on the shoulder of the highway three weeks ago in Palisade. CDOT maintainer Trent Umberger was also killed in the same incident that day. Our thoughts and love are with the Jones family, our Region 3 (Northwestern Colorado) crews and friends of Nate. 🧡Nate, your life was a blessing, 🧡Your memory is a treasure, 🧡You are loved beyond words, 🧡And you will be missed beyond measure.

🚍 Welcome to Day 3 of #TDMWeek! 🚍 Today we’re highlighting some of our grant opportunities📝! CDOT’s Office of Innovative Mobility (OIM) is our leader in TDM initiatives. One way OIM supports our efforts is by supporting innovative transportation solutions, whether you’re a local government, nonprofit organization or in the private sector, there are grant opportunities you can take advantage of: 🔹 Transportation Management Organization (TMO) Seed Funding Grants: Providing resources for new TMO programs to form in currently underrepresented areas of the state. 🔹 TDM Innovation Grants: Incentivizing Innovation grant ideas that reach new audiences or address gaps in current practice or scale up existing best practices to expand their impact. 🔹 Zero Emission Vehicle Workforce Development: To develop and attract the skills and talent necessary to meet the changing demands of the transportation electrification sector. This grant addresses multiple challenges that Colorado and the wider mobility and electrification industry are facing: talent shortages, gaps in new skillsets and the growing need for training due to technological advances. 🔹 E-Mobility Education and Awareness: To expand public awareness and education around EVs and increase public understanding of their benefits, capabilities and availability.
