Community Partnership School is an independently operating PAIS accredited school that provides a well-rounded, affordable education while fostering a supportive network among students, school, family, and community. This partnership prepares our graduates - academically, socially, and emotionally - to flourish in many of the region's finest middle and high schools.
Community Partnership School was founded in 2006 through a partnership between Germantown Academy and Project H.O.M.E. to attend to the educational needs of children from an underserved North Central Philadelphia neighborhood characterized by high rates of poverty and generational disinvestment.

📚🎉 Last month, our Third, Fourth, and Fifth graders competed in the exciting Reading Olympics! Fifth-grade captains led mixed-grade teams, answering questions about the 20 books they read. Beyond the reading challenge, students learned valuable lessons in teamwork, cooperation, and shared responsibility.
The competition was intense, but our “Olympic Squad” took home first place trophies! 🏆 Students who went above and beyond their reading goals also earned a special trip to a local bookstore and a sweet treat. We're so proud of our Reading Olympians and can't wait to continue this wonderful tradition next year! 📖✨ #ReadingOlympics#Teamwork#Literacy#ReadingisFun#CPSPhilly
Last Thursday, CPS had the honor of hosting an event in partnership with the Children's Scholarship Fund Philadelphia (CSFP). We were joined by Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker to discuss the important decisions that CSFP parents make for their children’s education. CSFP parents shared their personal stories, their journey to choosing a tuition-based school, and how a CSFP scholarship has helped them.
We were also delighted to hear from a graduating 8th-grade student who shared her achievements, experiences at her school, and dreams for the future.
A thank you to our speakers, Kamesha Callands, Shante Woodlin, Jennifer Harrison, Keisha Robinson (a current CPS parent), E.D., and CSFP scholar, Cydney B. We extend our gratitude to William F. Dunbar, Sr. for helping organize and plan this event.
Lastly, thank you to Mayor Parker and Rep. Donna Johnson Bullock for joining us to listen to CSFP and CPS families and their experiences. Your commitment to understanding all perspectives within our community is greatly appreciated!

Every Tuesday in May, our 5th graders participated in enriching nature education classes at the Dixon Meadow Preserve, offered by the Whitemarsh Foundation. During these sessions, students engaged in nature walks, exploring diverse bird species and plant life. The series of trips ended this week in Wissahickon Valley park, where students explored invertebrates in Wissahickon Creek!
🌏✨ The first week of May, CPS hosted our annual Continent Fair, focusing this year on the vibrant and diverse region of Oceania! Each grade delved into a different Oceanic nation, becoming experts and sharing their knowledge with peers, family, and faculty.
🌺 Pre-K explored the wonders of Fiji, while Kindergarten uncovered the many facets of Australia. First graders journeyed through Papua New Guinea, and second graders embraced the rich culture of New Zealand. Third graders dove into Hawaii’s unique traditions, and our fourth graders studied Indonesia, spanning both Asia and Oceania. Fifth graders rounded out our exploration with an in-depth look at Guam.
🎶 Our fair kicked off with an assembly in the gym where students performed traditional songs and dances. We then enjoyed a tasting of Oceanic foods and snacks in the cafeteria. Back in the gym, students showcased their dioramas, traditional housing models, artwork, and research on food and languages.
🎨 Downstairs, families joined in creating Aboriginal Dot Art, making leis, and assembling puzzle maps and Lego models of Oceania. It was an incredible journey through the rich cultures and traditions of Oceania! 🌊🏝️ #CPSContinentFair#OceaniaExploration#StudentShowcase#CulturalCelebration#HandsOnLearning
