🌏 Busy, busy is what the past month has been! Our teams have been all over. Sales colleagues Linda Empringham, Eva Wantzen and Denis Godbout visited beautiful Oslo for the International Association of Law Libraries conference. Our arts and architecture team, including Katja Richter, Kevin Schneider, Pablo Schneider and Anja Weisenseel, descended on Lyon for the CIHA art history congress, which featured book presentations with our authors Henri de Riedmatten, Friederike Schäfer, Ursula Ströbele, Noémie Etienne and Philippe Cordez. So many authors dropped by our booths at the International Medieval Congress in Leeds! Pictured are Jacob Abell, Conor Whately, Marie D'Aguanno Ito, Salvatore Liccardo and Steven Vanderputten. The Celtic Conference in Classics saw our acquisitions editors Mirjam Elbers and Carlo Vessella join forces in Cardiff and welcome editors Rafal Toczko, David Woods and Michael Hanagan to their adjoining booths. Stay tuned as conference season continues! #DeGruyterBrill #AcademicPublishing #AcademicConferences

Happy Nelson Mandela Day! Today, we celebrate the life and legacy of this champion of justice, equality and peace. His journey from prisoner to president is a source of inspiration, as is his courage, compassion and power to unify. Watch below as editor Crain Soudien explains the significance of Brill's volume "Nelson Mandela: Comparative Perspectives of His Significance for Education." Reflecting on the South African leader's life, the book illustrates the relevance of his values in teaching the generations of tomorrow. Mandela challenges us to think deeply about the kinds of lives we aspire to create for ourselves and everyone around us.
