Please join us in celebrating the national recognition of three of our Dignity Health California hospitals who topped the list with five-stars in the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Overall Hospital Quality Star Ratings for 2024. Congratulations to French Hospital Medical Center, Sequoia Hospital, and Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital! This year, only 381 hospitals across the United States received the five-star rating so we are exceedingly proud to have three of those hospitals in our region. The results are divided into five categories including safety, mortality, patient experience, readmission, and efficiency of care. #qualitycare #healthcare #CMS #fivestars

Dignity Health California is honored to be a part of the Merced County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Mobile Care Clinic, made possible by the Central California Alliance for Health! This clinic is a key component of the Mercy Medical Center Merced Street Medicine Program, and an amazing opportunity to provide much-needed healthcare access to the communities who need it most! Starting this September, the clinic will travel throughout Merced County to meet patients where they're at with a team of clinicians, health coaches and navigators to provide screenings in English and Spanish. #CommunityHealth #PublicHealth #Inclusion #Hellohumankindness #MotivationMonday

Happy 50th anniversary to St. John's Hospital Camarillo! In 1974, a group of ambitious community leaders were motivated to provide a hospital to the local residents, which began as Pleasant Valley Hospital - built on a 12-acre site by the foothills of Camarillo. This #FeelGoodFriday, we are honoring the recent retirement of an enormously influential figure at Dignity Health California, Sister Sheila Browne. For over 30 years, Sister Sheila has been a cornerstone of our Ministry, and she has devoted more than 50 years as a Sister of Mercy of the Americas. Since 1990, she has played pivotal roles in Sponsorship and Governance at Dignity Health, including Chair of the Planning and Strategy Committee and Chair of the Corporate Members. Her significant impact during the formation of Catholic Healthcare West, Dignity Health, and subsequently CommonSpirit Health, continues to be felt daily. Please join us in honoring her unwavering commitment to excellence, her dedication to our organization, and her profound love for the Ministry of the Sisters of Mercy.
