Dove Healthcare completes multiple Day of Sharing events each year, with team members from around Wisconsin coming together to help spruce up and provide TLC at rotating Dove Healthcare locations. On September 12, more than 20 team members arrived bright and early and ready to work hard all day at Dove Healthcare – Fennimore, and the results are amazing! We are so grateful to everyone, and so proud to be part of such a giving team! Take a couple of minutes to hear from our team about what Day of Sharing is all about.

We are excited to announce the HomeGROWN promotion of Jessica Vadnais to director of nursing for Dove Healthcare – West Eau Claire! “Jessica has been a valued member of the Dove Healthcare team since 2016, progressing from nurse to case manager, to assistant director of nursing, and now to DON. Her unwavering passion for the nursing field and enthusiasm for serving our residents, families, and team make her an excellent fit for this leadership role. Jessica’s clinical expertise and dedication will greatly enhance our commitment to advancing quality care. I am thrilled for the nursing team and for Dove Healthcare – West Eau Claire and look forward to Jessica’s leadership! Congratulations on this well-deserved promotion, Jessica,” said Administrator Tricia Thatcher. Jessica shared, “I began my career in healthcare as a certified nursing assistant in 2012. After completing the LPN program, I decided to further my education, which brought me to Eau Claire to pursue my RN degree. I am grateful for the friendships and experiences I have gained over the past eight years with Dove Healthcare. Outside of work, I enjoy crafting, working on house projects and remodeling, playing with my dogs, Gus and Moe, and traveling.” Congratulations and thank you, Jessica! This week is National Assisted Living Week. Sept. 8-14! 'Inspiring Generations' is the theme this year, which recognizes the work that assisted living communities have done in the past, while inspiring the next generation of future caregivers. Throughout the week our tenants will be invited to participate in variety of activities, and we will have special recognition for our team members as well. We are so grateful for our tenants that have entrusted us with their care and our employees for their dedication to providing compassionate care and service to those that depend on us. Thank you! We are so happy to introduce you to Dalton Hinke! Dalton joined our team this summer as environmental services director, overseeing laundry, housekeeping, and maintenance services for Dove Healthcare – Bloomer and Bloomer Assisted Living. Fun Fact: Dalton worked as a resident assistant for Dove Healthcare in 2017! We sure are happy to have him back. A few words from Dalton: “I am so excited to be part of this team. I bring several years of experience as the director of buildings and grounds for the New Auburn School District. I enjoy working with people, and I have been enjoying getting to know the great team here. I recently moved to Sand Creek where I live with my girlfriend, Liz, our daughter, Mya, and our family dog, Teddy. I enjoy fishing, hunting, being outdoors, and spending time with my family and friends. I also spend a lot of time volunteering as a firefighter and EMS first responder.” Thank you for your service to the community, Dalton! It’s much appreciated. We are excited to announce Emily Gudis as the new administrator of Dove Healthcare – Spooner and Spooner Assisted Living. Dove Healthcare has experienced great success over the years with our HomeGROWN approach: recognizing passion, dedication, and capabilities in team members and then supporting them with growth as opportunity arises. Emily is a great example of a HomeGROWN success story! She first joined our Dove Healthcare family in January 2016 as a resident assistant at Dove Healthcare – Rutledge Home. Her promotions in the past eight years have spanned four Dove Healthcare locations and included the positions of lead RA, assistant director, and director. Since August 2022, Emily has been the Director of Assisted Living – Chippewa Valley for Dove Healthcare – Orchard Hills Assisted Living and Rutledge Home, while also being a resourceful guide for our four other assisted living locations. This breadth of experience - combined with her positivity and commitment to advancing our mission - has prepared Emily for success in her new role as administrator. We are thankful for her amazing results with employee recruitment and retention, strong occupancy, positive survey performance, and overall operations. Emily started taking steps towards her nursing home administrator licensure earlier this year, and she looks forward to completing this career milestone. Emily and her husband stay busy raising their two young children and tending to the needs of their growing hobby farm.  Please help us in congratulating Emily and giving her a warm welcome to Spooner!
