Here are tips to ensure your employees stay safe and connected:   ➡️Prepare emergency kits: Encourage employees to assemble kits with essentials like flashlights, batteries, non-perishable food and water. ➡️Protect homes and belongings: Advise employees to elevate essential items if safe to do so and unplug electrical appliances. ➡️Charge computers and phones: Remind those in areas at-risk of power loss to charge their computers and phones in preparation. ➡️Financial preparedness: Ensure employees are aware of available emergency financial relief programs if they are impacted by power outages or property damages to property. ➡️Giving back: Remind teammates that they can support their peers through a charitable gift to their employee relief programs! On July 2, Hurricane Beryl became the earliest Category 5 hurricane on record in the Atlantic, and only the second to reach this intensity in July (the first being Hurricane Emily in 2005). Its impact was substantial:   • In Texas, nearly 3 million homes, schools, and businesses lost power • Dozens of fatalities, including 15 due to heat from power outages • Heavy rain and flash flooding spreading from the Texas coast to upstate New York • 65+ tornadoes—the most from any U.S. tropical storm or hurricane since 2005   With 10,000+ applications already, nearly 50% of our clients had employees affected by Beryl.
