At the Women In Healthcare - New York Metro Chapter meeting in the Teknion showroom, Susan Romano and Rika Gunawan, NCIDQ, IIDA, LEED AP from E4H NY learned from DEIB leader Jessica Bantom about the essential role of user-centered design. The discussion was facilitated by Suzen L. Heeley, IIDA, LEED, AP, Executive Director, Design + Construction at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and highlighted the importance of acknowledging race, gender identity, and culture beyond our own experiences, which is vital for creating design solutions that resonate with people from all backgrounds.
