We do environmental work. Environmental Research Group, LLC (ERG) is an 8(a) certified, service-disabled veteran-owned (SDVO), economically disadvantaged woman-owned (EDWO,) small business (SB). Founded in 2000, ERG provides environmental consulting services via projects and on-site staff needs. We provide expertise in cultural heritage, natural resources, environmental compliance, NEPA, and restoration management. ERG: Trust, Expertise, Compassion. Derived from the Greek word ergon, meaning work, erg is a unit of energy. ERG focuses its energy on providing high-caliber environmental services to firms and government agencies, including on-site and traditional project support. We direct our energy towards our customers' missions and exceed expectations.

Within a country where most values are rooted in the ideals of freedom, any recognition of freedom should be celebrated. Today, and every June 19th, AmaTerra, ERG Texas Services celebrates Juneteenth, the oldest known holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. On June 19, 1865, U.S. Maj. Gen. Gordan Granger issued General Order No. 3, informing the people of the United States that all enslaved people were free. This order was proclaimed in Galveston, Texas, specifically informing enslaved Texans, who had still been under the control of the Confederacy, of their new freedoms. This order came over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. Now a federal holiday, Juneteenth stands as a celebration and reminder of Black freedom and how much enslaved people contributed to this nation. “If we are going to understand freedom, then we should understand the people who were denied [that] freedom.” - Vincent Brown, Professor of African and African American Studies at Harvard University.
