Wow! 👀🎉 The totals are in and this year's Fight Hunger. Spark Change. campaign raised nearly $20 million - the equivalent of 198 million meals for the Feeding America network of food banks and partner agencies. We’ve also reached a huge milestone of providing over 2 billion meals since the campaign started in 2014! Together with Walmart and Sam's Club shoppers, associates, and suppliers, our teams have helped improve food security in the U.S. by ensuring more people have access to the food and resources they say they need to thrive. 🧡💙

Pets are part of the family, so when families face hunger, so do their pets. We’ve provided 350 million meals to animal welfare partners, Meals on Wheels America, and Feeding America, but there's still much more work to do. This September, your donation can make a real difference. Donate online at petsmartcharities.org and your donation will be matched, up to $40,000, by our friends at Alphia. 🐾

Last week, Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, CEO of Feeding America, led our annual State of Hunger address, attended by donors and partners. During the webinar, Claire elevated key findings identified by neighbors facing hunger, who were surveyed in our latest 2024 Elevating Voices: Insights Report. The neighbors shared that efforts to end food insecurity in the U.S. must include: Prioritizing Dignity, Expanding Opportunity, Improving Health, and Increasing Access. ✨ Today, we celebrate National #FoodIsMedicine Day! At Feeding America, we believe that being healthy and having enough nutritious food go hand in hand. According to our 2024 Elevating Voices: Insights Report, an overwhelming majority of neighbors facing hunger tell us that eating healthy food that adheres to cultural and other preferences helps support strong physical and mental health, especially among children. Inspired by the voices of our neighbors and through dedicated partnerships with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and Elevance Health Foundation, the Feeding America network is committed to working alongside people facing hunger to make sure everyone has what they say they need to improve their health.
