At First Solar, every day is Earth Day. More than 60 GW of First Solar modules have been deployed since 2002. Every year, these modules are displacing 38 million metric tons of CO2eq, assuming worldwide average irradiance and grid electricity emissions. With less embodied carbon, our ultra low-carbon solar solutions enable faster and greater decarbonization. As #AmericasSolarCompany, we are committed to leading the world’s sustainable energy future responsibly and have done so for 25 years. #ResponsibleSolar #EarthDay

Headquartered in Walbridge, OH, the Rudolph Libbe Group (RLG) has constructed every First Solar facility in the state since the company’s first manufacturing facility in 2002. Today, the partnership has expanded beyond Ohio as RLG constructs First Solar’s new facilities in AL and LA. By 2026, RLG will have completed approximately 9 million square feet of manufacturing and R&D infrastructure across the three states. The Ohio projects alone accounted for approximately 4.5 million square feet and were constructed by union tradespeople. In fact, the three facilities constructed by RLG for First Solar in Ohio since 2016 consumed an estimated 2.5 million union hours. #AmericanSolar #SolarJobs #JobsMultiplier #EconomicImpact Read the full economic impact report: https://bit.ly/42S1d1g

As America’s Solar Company, First Solar has strategically invested in a domestic value chain to reduce risk and increase predictability for our business and our customers. The strategy also has significant economic benefits in the US. For example, for every direct First Solar job, 6 total jobs were supported in the economy in 2023 (including direct, indirect, and induced jobs). In 2003, we started out with just 1.5 MW of capacity in Ohio and celebrated production of 90 modules per day. In 2026 we expect to have approximately 25 GW of global nameplate manufacturing capacity. Our factories now produce tens of thousands of modules per week. And our global manufacturing footprint will extend across three US states and four countries, serving diverse markets with tailored technologies. #FirstSolar25 #AmericanSolar #throwback

In 2009, First Solar announced it had broken the $1 per watt manufacturing price barrier for solar modules, reaching a major milestone for the industry. This was a significant accomplishment towards the company's dedication to leading the way toward clean, affordable solar electricity as a viable alternative to fossil fuels. #FirstSolar25 #AmericanSolar #throwback
