    At #ALDALE2024, ASM’s Ivo Raaijmakers showed that the single wafer #ALDep market could reach as high as $5.0B by 2027, with the current wave of metal ALD partially propelling it. Even with many equipment suppliers having moved to batch processing tools to increase throughput, the need for high-quality films with high yield remains. These are just a few reasons we are excited to have TEPHRA in our product lineup, our single wafer, thermal ALD cluster platform. The core tenants of TEPHRA - high throughputs, high chemical efficiency and low waste – combine to create an ALD tool without the traditional tradeoffs of the technology. Plus its ability to perform metal ALD with a thermal process opens the door for new applications in the #semiconductor industry, especially those with complex or high-aspect ratio structures, like through wafer vias. TEPHRA is positioned to enable solutions unattainable with traditional thermal or plasma-enhanced ALD, expanding the bounds of scalable ALD processes in semiconductor manufacturing.     The Forge Nano team thanks everyone for the fantastic meeting and great conversations at #ALDALE2024. With attendance approaching record highs, it was an excellent opportunity to see some old friends and meet new faces. We feel fortunate to be part of such a wonderful community and to have the chance to have celebrated the 50 year anniversary of #ALDep in Finland where it all began. Our team had the pleasure of presenting scale up data in our continuous processing tool for improving battery materials and results on catalyzed AlN deposition for power, RF and high-aspect ratio applications, in addition to participating in an ever-expanding exhibition.     R&D Scientist on our Semiconductor team, Sara Harris, dominating the final day of #ALDALE2024 with an excellent talk on our catalyzed AlN #ALDep process for power and resonator applications. Sara showed our ability to turn turn thermal AlN processes on & off with a catalyst, and its ability to coat porous and complex substrates with aspect ratios as high as 30:1, a feat unachievable with conventional plasma AlN processes. Sara also gave a poster on doping SiO2 films with phosphite to increase the conductivity of proton exchange membranes. We will still be in the exhibition until the end of the conference for any last minute chats at Booth #42. Hope to see you one last time in Helsinki!

    Day 2 of #ALDALE2024 is off to the races, starting with our VP of R&D, Arrelaine Dameron's, talk on scaling #ALDep for coating graphite anodes. She showcased some fantastic results of process consistency of 45 kg graphite batches and electrochemical enhancements achieved in our continuous vibrating bed reactor. The exhibition continues in full-swing today so feel free to stop by to see us at Booth 42 to chat about your applications in powder ALD and scale up challenges.

    Forge Nano Director of Government Affairs Joseph Troutman recently presented to a packed house at the DoD Power and Energy Sources Conference in Washington, D.C. The presentation covered the basics on #ALDep, Forge Nano's work improving battery-grade materials including NMC, silicon and graphite as well as Forge Battery's recently announced 21700 Supercells, which are now being shipped to customers.
