When you hear "anti-drone gun," do you picture drones dropping out of the sky? 💥 These counter-UAS tools, pictured in the hands of French soldiers, work slightly differently. Instead of destroying UAS targets, they safely neutralize them. Using powerful, long-range antennas, they jam frequencies and force drones to land or return without damage. 🛬 What do you think of this non-kinetic approach? #UAS #UAV #counterUAS #counterUAV #drones #dronetechnology DroneShield

🤯 Check out this swarm of drones tackling a dense forest like pros! In this video from New Scientist, 10 fully autonomous, palm-sized drones use shared data from depth-sensing cameras to navigate and stay in formation. If one drone encounters an obstacle, it can use information from its neighbors to find a new path. This system also allows the swarm to track a moving person, with other drones picking up the trail if one loses sight of the target. Drone swarms can aid in natural disasters by searching, guiding, and delivering supplies, while also being valuable for military surveillance, reconnaissance, and potentially targeting. Crazy stuff!
