The Grand Rapids Police department is a full-service law enforcement agency serving Grand Rapids, Michigan. There are approximately 300 sworn officers and 110 professional support staff. Our police officers, college interns, and volunteers answer over 100,000 calls for service per year. Chief Eric Winstrom leads the department. In addition to patrol operations, GRPD offers many teams and speciality units, including the Detective Unit, Traffic Unit, Special Response Team, Vice Unit, Community Engagement Unit, K9 Team, a Mounted Unit, and much more. The Whitecaps are hosting Grand Rapids Police static displays and recruiting tables at their First Responders Night. The presentation of colors will be done by GRPD’s Honor Guard for the National Anthem, and Deputy Chief Trigg will be doing the first pitch of the game. Part of the proceeds can be donated to the GRPD Foundation or the Great Lakes Burn Camps. Hope to see you out there!
