 Congratulations to Lois Horstman, our August WE CARE Spotlight!   Lois was recognized by Jessica Montague for her incredible MVP Census Lunch that she provided BG last month! Lois making everything look so easy and everything is always SO delicious. Lois went above and beyond to make sure that the team at Bowling Green Manor was honored.   Lois started full time in her current position as Receptionist/Administrative Assistant in November 2010. She now has added the role of resident chef here at HCF Home Office and is enjoying every minute of her job. The best thing Lois says about her new role as a chef are the smiles it brings to people’s faces after they have eaten lunch. She is loving it and keeps trying new recipes to keep everyone excited.    Lois has been married for 38 years in October to her husband Melvin. They love to travel all over the USA. Lois and Melvin have 2 children, Holly (Eric) & Cody (Ericka) both married and they have 3 beautiful granddaughters Eve, Quinn, & Ava who are the greatest gifts her children have ever given them. In her spare time she loves to bake. Her kitchen is her favorite place and she loves to try new things and creating new recipes.   Please join us in congratulating Lois and thanking her for being an example of the HCF Core Values!

Congratulations to Jessica Montague, our June 2024 WE CARE Spotlight! Jessica received 2 nominations this month! In the first nomination, Jessica was recognized by Paige Gibson for growing the business development team through providing a “gentle but direct” leadership. Paige also says that Jessica is open to listen to feedback and provides prompt follow up. In the second nomination, Katie Kent said that “Jessica fully embraced the new practices and teachings of the new sales coaching program” and that she “was quick to grasp new techniques and hold her sales team accountable to the new expectations.” Jessica rejoined HCF in 2020 and has since 2022 excelled as the regional director of business development for the northern region. In her role, she oversees sales, marketing, relationship management, and census activities across our skilled nursing, assisted living, and home health locations. Prior to this role she was the Community Marketing Coordinator for HCF and Heritage Health Care in the Findlay/Fostoria areas from April 2017-August 2019, and again from February 2020-July 2022. Jessica is known for her exceptional leadership, nurturing spirit, and can-do attitude. She focuses on team and organizational priorities, adapting strategies to foster success and growth. Her recent achievements include implementing new sales coaching methods, spearheading the redesign of entryway signage, establishing key partnerships to enhance brand recognition and census performance, and conducting specialized trainings for her sales team. Jessica holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and a Master of Social Work Administration from The Ohio State University. She is a Licensed Social Worker and Certified Executive in Home Care and Hospice. Jessica resides in Arlington, Ohio with her two sons, Tyler (11) & Logan (8), and one daughter, Lylah (6). In addition to Ohio, Jessica has lived in the states of Tennessee, Indiana, Arkansas, and North Carolina. She enjoys traveling, iced coffee, hiking, road trips, content creation/writing a self-help book, and finding unique Airbnb weekend adventures. Her greatest “why” in work and life is found in the connections she makes with others, and she finds the most joy and purpose in being a trusted resource and encouragement to those around her. Congratulations to Ann Boitnott, our May 2024 WE CARE Spotlight! Ann received 3 nominations this month! In the first nomination, Ann along with 3 others on the HCF payroll team was recognized by Megan Schimmoeller for “Taking on the payroll responsibilities for Heritage, Legacy, and Encompass Care teams.” Megan said that she “Truly appreciated the team’s time and willingness to support the transition.” In her second nomination, Kendra Eickholt said that she ”Appreciated Ann for taking the time out of her already busy days in the past few weeks for coming down to learn EC payroll.” She also stated that “Ann has balanced the HCF Family of Companies payroll with a smile while showing many WE CARE values!” Ann’s third nomination came from Jeremy Monroe for “Compiling and organizing a large amount of payroll data from a former employee to help us respond to a question being raised by the employee.” Jeremy said that “Ann was prompt, organized, and kind in handling the request even though it was adding work to her already full plate.” Ann joined HCF at the Home Office as a Compensation Specialist in May of 2022.  Ann graduated from BGSU. She has a 15-year-old son named Ethan who she has recently started to teach how to drive. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and making people laugh. Ann sells Color Street and makes clay earrings in her spare time.
