The momentum continues.. Pleased to report a very strong quarter across the ICE European Power portfolio in Q2. Key indicators such as Average Daily Volume (ADV), Open Interest (O.I.) and daily trading participation have all shown strong growth in Q2 and confirming the positive trend in ICE European Power trading. - Record ADV across the entire European Power portfolio in Q2 - A new O.I record for European Power Futures & Options combined with just over 128,000 lots at the end of the quarter - Screen liquidity in German Power Futures +193% in Q2 vs Q1 and record average daily participation in June - A new O.I. record in German Power Options with just under 80,000 lots at the end of the quarter - UK Power Futures ADV +16% YTD vs. LYTD, O.I. +34% and record average daily participation Furthermore, increasingly trading participants from across the globe find their way to ICE to trade ICE European Power Futures and Options, often trading and clearing it together with other ICE global energy benchmark contracts as #TTF #Brent and #EUA. While many of us are sweltering in the summer heat, cooling inflation is one reason for cheer – helping set the stage for a September U.S. rate cut. Throughout this high inflationary period, one area of interest to me has been the potential for wage-price spirals. So do they post a threat - or are there other factors we need to watch closely? Last week, we celebrated a significant milestone with Exchange Invest founder Patrick Young as he took the NYSE podium to commemorate the 25th anniversary of his book, "Capital Market Revolution."   Patrick has been a staunch advocate for the power of marketplaces and the advancement of a more transparent financial system in the digital age. His longstanding relationship with the ICE team has been invaluable, and we are proud to join him in celebrating this achievement.
