Can wireless EV charging become a key part of EV infrastructure? Wireless charging for electric vehicles (EVs) happens when a vehicle charges by parking over a magnetically connected plate. As charging infrastructure is being built out, can wireless charging emerge as a mainstream solution? Key Points: ⚡ Investment case: initially costly but promises long-term savings ⚡ Use Cases: successful implementations in port terminals and transit buses demonstrate the technology's viability ⚡ AI coordination: wireless charging’s value lies in frequent, partial charging coordinated by AI without driver intervention, reducing downtime and operational costs ⚡ Autonomous integration: Companies are exploring wireless charging for autonomous vehicles, further improving the business case for autonomous EV logistics Companies like WiTricity Easelink InductEV are making great progress in wireless EV charging technology. I believe the future of charging is wireless, for vehicles and phones alike. The question is how long it will take this type of technology to scale and achieve cost parity. Do you see a future for wireless charging in the EV infrastructure that is currently being built out? And where do you see the main use cases? Share your vision and ideas in the comments below. Fantastic to see our wireless charging in action again yesterday in Gothenburg thanks to Goteborg-Energi & Volvo Cars 🇸🇪🔋🚙 I have a video of the charging in progress while in the taxi which I’ll share later on, but it is such a simple process it’s rather underwhelming! Thanks to our man in Sweden, Gabriel Samuelsson, for setting up a great day in Gothenburg. Only a shame I could not visit World of Volvo to see the charging exhibit. Next time! 🤝 #electrification #sweden #electricvehicles #wirelesscharging #innovation #technology InductEV

Another transit agency goes wireless - this time it's Kitsap Transit with a mission to provide safe and reliable transit service, and they're doing so with InductEV chargers powering a fleet of full-size GILLIG battery-electric buses. The Silverdale Transit Center has 4x 300kW wireless chargers and is the 1st of several Kitsap locations to be electrified wirelessly. InductEV is proud to be trusted for the newly electrified facility, which will link Kitsap County to essential medical services and shopping. InductEV would like to thank all who came out to support including The Office of the Governor, U.S. Department of Transportation, Secretary of Transportation Roger Millar, County Commissioner Katie Walters, MA District 3, Suquamish Tribal Chairman Leonard Forsman, former Congressman Norm Dicks, Executive Director John Clausen, Director of Vehicle Maintenance & Facilities Dennis Griffey, and the Kitsap Transit Board. Also shown is InductEV's amazing VP of Customer & Project Excellence Kelsey H., and many thanks to Todd Daniel for making so much of this possible. As always, stay tuned as there are many more announcements coming..
