💊 Curious how Inspire's platform can help revolutionize drug safety? By harnessing natural language processing to analyze over 7 million posts, Inspire identified chemotherapy adverse drug reactions (CADRs) up to seven months before they appeared in medical literature and even uncovered a previously unknown CADR. This innovation underscores the potential of our platform to enhance drug surveillance and improve patient safety. How can life sciences companies strengthen post-market surveillance of ADEs? Longitudinal linking may be the key 🔑 Individual social media posts contribute somewhat to safety surveillance, but limited character counts and spur of the moment posts that only tell part of the story create bias and research challenges. Inspire conducted a study on behalf of a major life sciences corporation that linked Inspire member-generated content from the same individual over a 10-month period. The goal was to determine whether longitudinal linking of individual posts could provide a more holistic assessment of an individual’s chronic disease journey. Inspire uncovered that linking this data provided richer relevant medical findings and nontraditional insights, such as: -adverse events reporting -prevention and impact of adverse events -medical history -use of non-medical treatments -concomitant medications -environmental factors Read the full case study here: https://lnkd.in/eZfscV8b

What is Patient Voice Real World Evidence and how can it help create a more comprehensive dataset? Imagine EHR and claims data as the outlines of a painting—they provide the basic structure and essential clinical details. Now, think of patient voice real-world evidence as the vibrant colors and intricate details that bring the painting to life. This unique dataset captures personal patient experiences, decisions and perspectives, adding depth and richness to the overall picture. By combining these data sources, we're able to create a more complete and vivid representation of patient health, enhancing care, research validity, and ensuring we focus on what truly matters to patients. #RWE #PatientCenteredCare #HealthcareResearch #PatientVoice #RWD #PatientJourney

Inspire is proud to announce that A Leigh Garrett, PhD, Senior Research Manager at Inspire, has co-authored a study published in the journal European Urology Oncology. Authored under Dr. Stacy Loeb of NYU's Langone Health and researchers from the University of Michigan and Memorial Sloan Kettering, this research sheds light on the often-overlooked impact of prostate cancer (PCa) on the sexual health and quality of life of female partners of patients. Inspire's online health community played a crucial role in the recruitment process for this validation study, showcasing the power of our platform in advancing essential research. 🔍 Key Highlights: • Development of the first validated questionnaire specifically designed to assess the sexual health and quality of life of female partners of PCa patients (SCIPPP-F) • Identification of 7 critical factors impacting partners, including distress, loss of connection, and communication issues • Demonstration of strong internal consistency and reliability of the SCIPPP-F questionnaire Join us in congratulating Dr. Garrett for her valuable contribution to this important research.
