🌠 Empowering Communities through Learning and Growth! Striving for excellence, Anthony Wilson, CWDP, KRA's Program Director in Washington D.C., recently attended the DC Workforce Investment Council (WIC)'s D.C. Workforce Summit 2024. This experience provided valuable insights from countrywide leaders in Workforce Development, aimed at setting the D.C. region as the “gold standard” in Workforce Development. Mr. Wilson is dedicated to translating his learning into action within the D.C. community by actively working to enhancing relationships with a local childcare provider, a new medical center opening soon and by accepting an invitation to meet personally with a local Council Member to further discuss Workforce Development initiatives in D.C. and how KRA can continue to support growth and progress in the region. This is the embodiment of KRA and our mission to enrich the areas we serve! Do you have workforce development needs? Reach out to us at [email protected]. Let's grow and learn together! #WorkatKRA #WorkforceDevelopment #CommunityGrowth

🌈 Just like rainbows, Pride is not confined to a single month, it's vibrant all year-round. It's a commitment to understand, support, and amplify the voices of the LGBTQIA+ community. By understanding their unique challenges, individuals can become better allies, supporting and standing up for the rights of LGBTQIA+ individuals in their personal and professional lives. Our recent Leadership Edge event, which focused on advancing diversity and inclusion within our organization, reinforced the harsh reality that 67 countries still criminalize same-sex relationships, and that LGBTQIA+ youth experience twice the number of threats and violence compared to their heterosexual counterparts. We're not just allies, we're advocates, standing strong against discrimination in each of our communities as we provide a safe haven for our LGBTQIA+ clients. Join us in making every day a day of Pride! #KRAatWork #EverydayIsPride #LGBTQIASupport #DiversityAndInclusion

🌎 In honor of Immigrant Heritage Month, we celebrate the bravery of those who have emigrated to the U.S. for a chance at a brighter future. #WorkforceWednesday At KRA, we proudly serve those who have dared to dream bigger as all our workforce-services operations serve individuals who have emigrated to the U.S. in search of a better life. Most notably, the San Diego CAPI program serves more immigrant populations than any other. To date, KRA's San Diego team has enrolled 2,200+ customers, providing services in several languages, e.g. Spanish, French, Arabic, Russian, English, Somali, and Farsi/Persian. The English-Language Learners program alleviates language as a barrier to training or employment. Most customers participate in it during the first year before transitioning to paid work-experience assignments provided by 80+ San Diego County employers. KRA’s dedicated efforts are impacting the lives of immigrants in San Diego and across the country toward self-sufficiency, ensuring they have the support and resources needed to thrive in our communities for themselves and future generations. #KRAatWork #ImmigrantHeritageMonth #CelebrateImmigrants
