Today, we are excited to share the findings of our 2022 #ESG report. Since our inaugural report last year, we have made significant progress across all four pillars of our ESG commitment through initiatives, partnerships and the dedication and ingenuity of our exceptional employees. As a result of our efforts over the past year, we’ve increased our fuel efficiency, improved operational efficiency, reduced workplace incidents and increased community engagement. While we take great pride in the achievements outlined in this report, we are eager to continue to work toward our zero waste goal: a 100% utilization rate of the end-of-life tires we collect by 2030. ☀ Summer is in full swing, and it's the perfect time for kids to get outside! ☀ Across North America, kids are playing safer on rubber mulch and playground products. These recycled rubber products help reduce bumps and bruises for little ones running around when inevitable falls occur. Rubber mulch takes in more impact and offers greater protection against injuries than both wood mulch and playground sand. Plus, rubber playground products are made from 100% recycled rubber, which means these products are breathing new life into a material that would otherwise waste away in a landfill. Juneteenth, celebrated on June 19th, commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States. It marks the day in 1865 when Union General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas, and announced the end of slavery, over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued. This day is a significant part of American history, symbolizing freedom, resilience, and the ongoing journey toward equality and justice. On this Juneteenth, let us honor the enduring legacy of those who paved the way before us, embrace the optimism for a brighter future, and recognize our shared responsibility to create a more equitable society for all.

President and Chief Commercial Officer Andrew Meurer represented Liberty Tire on an exciting panel about collaboration, innovation and the future of the #TireRecycling industry at the USTMA 2024 Tire Recycling Conference. "What consumers care about has shifted,” Meurer said. “They are clearly voting for the brands that support sustainability.” However, as tire manufacturers “innovate to make tires safer and more sustainable, they become increasingly difficult to deconstruct and recycle.” For our industries to reach our sustainability goals, and meet consumer demand, collaboration between manufacturers and recyclers is more critical than ever. Thanks to U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association for hosting this important conversation, and to everyone who participated and attended! #DrivingAGreenerTomorrow Read more from Rubber News: https://lnkd.in/ekNUzMWM
