Home to the highest waterfall in Georgia, 729 feet, Amicalola Falls State Park sits Northeast of Dawsonville, on the cusp of the North Georgia Mountains. CROFT recently celebrated the new 5,550 SF Visitor Center ribbon cutting. Our team worked alongside the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (GADNR) to provide full architectural and engineering design services to support the ground-up construction and features an Information Desk, Park Offices, Open Retail Area, Interpretive Center, Museum, Animal Display, and Restrooms, Additionally, the entrance drive will be widened and relocated to accommodate two lanes of traffic. Representing CROFT was Michael Gunn, RA (Project Architect), Earl Smith (Director, Local Government) and Jim Croft (CEO). Fun fact: In attendance was Gene Espy, the second person to thru-hike the Appalachian Trail. Very cool! Contractor: Lovvorn Construction
