Week after week, our attorneys continue to take part in speaking engagements, continuing education programs, and networking events. Earlier this week, Partner Matthew Atkey spoke at the ADC & Radiopharmaceuticals Partnering Summit on a panel titled "Effectively & Efficiently Structuring Deal Processes as a Small ADC or Radiopharmaceutical Company". This week, our Boston office partnered with the ACC Northeast - Association of Corporate Counsel chapter to host a NextGen networking event at Kings Bowling. The NextGen cohort at ACC brings together attorneys who have been in-house for less than 10 years. Last night, Member Jen Rubin hosted the 50/50 Women on Boards San Diego Conversation. Attendees heard from industry professionals and built meaningful relationships with experienced corporate directors. Meanwhile, our LA office hosted a Healthcare CLE with ACC Southern California (Association of Corporate Counsel) titled "Health Information Privacy: The Road Ahead" at the Culver Hotel. This program was moderated by Member Kathryn Edgerton and Mintz Alumni Lara Compton, Vice President of US Policy for Digital Therapeutics Alliance. We are looking forward to another week of active participation!

Of Counsel Michelle Capezza recently spoke with FiduciaryNews.com about the benefits of bigger 401k plans. In the article, Michelle discusses the specific benefits for employers sponsoring 401k plans. Michelle says, “Larger employer-sponsored plans have more plan assets and leverage in the marketplace, which can result in cost savings for the plan. A larger plan sponsor will also be more likely to have its own personnel to assist with plan oversight and management, and the resources to retain outside consultants and advisors to assist with plan compliance matters.” Read the article here: https://bit.ly/4dgHbRP

Member David G. Adams was quoted by FinOps Report in an article focused on how Europe’s pending Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) could impact US-based fund managers. It also addresses why US fund managers should review their third-party service relationships despite ambiguity around the rule. David said, “A US subadvisor for a European-domiciled fund may be forced to deal with DORA’s requirements because the European primary fund management firm will enhance its own cybersecurity or IT requirements for all service providers to comply with DORA.” Read the full article here: https://bit.ly/4e94e27
