About us

MRAS is a world leading manufacturer of complex aerostructures including nacelle systems and specialized structural components of the airframe. It supplies and supports these products for engine makers, airplane manufacturers and aircraft operators. Located on Maryland’s Chesapeake Bay near Baltimore, MRAS has a 1.7-million sq. ft. facility situated on 180 acres – where the company and its predecessors have designed, built and equipped civil and military aircraft for nearly 90 years. In addition to MRAS’ design, development and manufacturing capabilities, the company provides technical support and spares services for its products. MRAS also has in-house expertise and extensive production resources for lightweight composite materials across a full range of aviation applications. In 2019, MRAS was acquired by ST Engineering Systems North America, the affiliate of Singapore-based ST Engineering – becoming a part of its global network of aerospace facilities and offices. With the ownership change, the company was renamed Middle River Aerostructure Systems.

    ST Engineering MRAS was thrilled to participate in another year of MOVEment, a 5-week workout challenge promoting health, fitness, and philanthropy through walking, running, and cycling. This initiative united ST Engineering employees across our global network into one cohesive community. For every mile walked or three miles cycled, ST Engineering donated $1 to our charitable partners, Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and Wounded Warrior Project. In the US alone, we accumulated an impressive 85,506 miles, resulting in a $70,000 donation equally shared between these two remarkable organizations. The Xtra Long Range single-aisle aircraft from the most successful #A320 Family is ready to prove its route-building and operational capabilities. Burning 30% less fuel and CO2 emissions per seat than previous generation competitor aircraft at around half the trip cost of modern widebodies, this gamechanger aircraft will also offer operators additional support for high demand seasonal long range routes.
