🚴♂️🚴♀️ Rolling Towards Wellness! 🌟 We're thrilled to announce the launch of the IAH Detention Facility's 2024 wellness initiative featuring their brand-new BIONIC bikes! These vibrant blue and white bikes symbolize the facility’s pride in MTC and its inclusive environment, encouraging a healthy and happy lifestyle for all. Staff members can sign up to ride the bikes whenever they need a break, offering them time to decompress and improve their physical health. Chief of Security Pete Coffin and Deputy Warden Karl Frawner added a special touch with custom license plates, reminding us that MTC and IAH truly care about its employees and residents. Since the initiative began, 27 employees have signed up, averaging 3 laps per sign-out. Special shoutout to Jorge Mendez, IAH’s mailroom clerk, for leading the pack with an impressive 157 laps! This initiative is already having a positive impact on the mental and physical well-being of IAH staff. Facility and staff say they can't wait to introduce more ways for their team to relax and stay healthy. Ride on, team! 🚲✨ · · #WellnessInitiative #MTCPride #HealthyLiving #BIONICBikes #StaffWellness #MentalHealth #PhysicalFitness #mtcchangeslives

🎓🌟 Celebrating Success and New Beginnings! 🌟🎓 The Miami North Community Release Center (CRC) proudly celebrated its first graduation of 2024! Six residents successfully completed the substance use disorder (SUD) program, marking a significant milestone in their journey to recovery. This was also many of the graduates’ first time experiencing a graduation ceremony and the joy that comes with it. 👏 The facility’s SUD program empowers residents to overcome common thinking errors, build strong support systems, and equip themselves with coping mechanisms to prevent relapses upon their release. Congratulations to all our graduates! Here's to new beginnings and continued success! 🌈✨ · · #GraduationDay #SubstanceUseRecovery #MTCPride #NewBeginnings #SuccessStories #CommunitySupport #mtcchangeslives #NewBeginnings #Recovery #Congrats #Miami #FL
