  • At RadWaste Summit, last week, our Founder, President and CEO, Susana Navarro led a panel, “Small Businesses, Big Missions” alongside some of our senior leaders. Dr. Navarro introduced the company and recounted how Navarro went from niche nuclear safety contractor to prime contractor over the past three decades. Panelists discussed their commitment to client satisfaction and how that leads to successful project outcomes time and time again. They also highlighted the importance of agility, flexibility and responsiveness in managing and executing prime contracts. Navarro has the responsiveness of a small business, with the capabilities of a large business. They also discussed the challenges of maintaining outdated equipment and infrastructure, managing large sample volumes and implementing safety protocols, while emphasizing the importance of overcoming these challenges to maintain smooth operations. Panelists also highlighted the advantages of small business partnerships for employees, including their ability to foster professional growth and the loyalty between the company and its employees. Small businesses allow employees to grow with the company. At a small business, employees can become valuable in more than one role, which leads to a stronger, well-rounded workforce. The panelists advocated for the Department of Energy to open up their larger, more complex projects to small businesses and to acknowledge the efforts of the larger companies that collaborate with the smaller ones. This was an impactful conversation and we want to say thank you to RadWaste and all who attended the panel! • From Kentucky to Minnesota, it sure was a busy week for Navarro! Our president, Susana Navarro and some of our senior leaders [L to R: Susana Navarro, Jeff Carswell, Ray Geimer, Ryan Overton, Connie Flohr] presented at the RadWaste Summit in Louisville, while our Business Development Intern Cole Adams and Marketing Coordinator Alexia Stewart [L to R] represented us at the U.S. Department of Energy, OSDBU's Small Business Forum & Expo in Minneapolis. We had an amazing time connecting with peers and colleagues across the industry at both conferences. One of the best things about our industry is how easily we are able to build and foster relationships and share ideas through these events.

  • It was an absolute delight hosting United Way of Anderson, Campbell, Morgan and Scott Counties for their 2024 Annual Meeting! They gave updates on their work throughout the community (nearly $1 million raised!) and pinned the 2024 board members. They also presented tokens of gratitude to exiting board members, including our Executive Vice President, Ryan Overton, who served as board president for the past two years. The impactful work that the United Way does is vital to our community and we take pride in supporting their mission of building strong, equitable communities where everyone can thrive. • If you’ve visited navarro-inc.com recently, you may have noticed a brand-new look. Our new and improved website features a clean design, streamlined layout, and more information about the exciting work we are doing on behalf of clients across the country. That’s not all that’s changed, though. We’ve also updated our logo to make it just as bold and bright as Navarro’s future. For over 30 years, Navarro has supported our clients and industry partners through our unparalleled commitment to environmental stewardship and our outstanding capabilities, which often allow us to complete projects ahead of schedule and under budget. Now we are looking forward to the next 30 years, and beyond, as we continue to grow and expand our company and its core missions. While utilizing the same base as our previous logo, the colors in our new logo represent who we are as a company. For example, Navarro has built a reputation for our trustworthiness, reliability and loyalty to our clients, industry partners and our vast planet. This is demonstrated by the Danube Blue seen in the bottom left and top right corners of the logo. Keeping our planet in mind, Navarro chose a color that showcases our clean and green missions, supporting our clients and environmental stewardship. The Mantis Green featured in the top left and bottom right of the logo keeps the environment at the forefront of our minds, while also conveying the growth and prosperity we have experienced over the past 30 years. Unchanged from the previous version, the Navy Navarro at the heart of our logo remains steadfast and bold. Demonstrating strength and resiliency, changing the Navy was never a part of the conversation. Without purpose and meaning, a logo is just colors on a page. For us, our new logo is much more. It’s a visual representation of where we’ve been and where we are going. It’s Navarro’s answer to the question, “What’s next?” Join us: navarro-inc.com
