I am thrilled to announce that Fermi Energy, Inc has been awarded a grant from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Vehicle Technologies Office under the SBIR/STTR program! This funding will enable us to develop high-energy, low-cost, and durable cathodes for sodium-ion batteries. Fermi Energy's innovative sodium-ion battery technology will play a crucial role in accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) in the U.S. by securing the supply chain, reducing cathode costs, and fostering U.S.-based battery manufacturing. Our Summer Youth Entrepreneurship Program students had a busy week last week! They traveled to iM3NY to learn about battery manufacturing in Endicott. We also visited Binghamton University and Elmira College, where Professor Alison Wolfe gave a warm welcome and spoke about life at the college.
