What an incredible evening at Greater Cleveland Partnership's Best of Tech celebration! It was inspiring to hear Steve Potash's journey building unicorn OverDrive and his timeless advice: • Focus everything you do on measurable (and indisputable) outcomes that address real pain points • Don’t believe your own PR—always earn the right to win Special congrats to my friends Jeffrey Stern, Tony Pietrocola, Martina Dimoska, Kevin Goodman, and the many other individuals and organizations celebrated tonight. The Further team and I were honored to be finalists for Best AI Innovator alongside Cleveland Museum of Art, AgileBlue, and Centric Consulting. As Baiju Shah said, “A group of unicorns is a blessing.” And we definitely have that in Cleveland. Grateful to reconnect with some of my favorite Cleveland humans tonight.

We had an amazing time at the Greater Cleveland Partnership's Best of Tech Day, where our CEO Steve Potash shared insights on OverDrive's journey and the importance of solving real problems with impactful solutions!
The Sales Help You Need Before The Sales Help You Hire! Closing sales with founders and SMB owners while building skills to create repeatable scalable sales activity! #FounderSales #OwnerSales #TeamworkMakesTheDreamWork
I had a fantastic evening yesterday at the Greater Cleveland Partnership "Best of Tech Day" in downtown Cleveland! Thanks to the team, including Megan Kim and Courtney DeOreo for putting in all the work to make it happen! What an incredible opportunity to listen to Steve Potash of OverDrive tell some really amazing stories about the early days, his journey, what worked and what didn't. Thank you for sharing so much and for your hospitality while sitting at your table! And, Baiju Shah, thank you for doing such a great job leading the discussion. A few takeaways (because that's why we go to these things!) from Steve... 1) Be present - you're in the moment once, with these circumstances, lean in. 2) Don't believe your own PR. 3) Efficacy - your work needs to solve a real problem, doesn't matter that it works or is cool; it has to solve a real pain. 4) You have to earn the right to do business and earn the right to win. Sales was also part of the conversation (as always!), not only the need - but the desire from those who really understand, for founders to get on sales calls and help achieve these objectives - regardless of how long they've been doing it! The great thing about Northeast Ohio tech events is that you get to see so many familiar people, we're really just one person removed from anyone or anything we need help with. Last night was great because I met a lot of new people too. For that, I'm grateful! Congratulations to all the winners last night, including Joshua Edmonds, Ivy Chin, Curtis Timmons, Martina Dimoska, ControlSoft Inc., Bloomfilter, Lazorpoint, OverDrive, EOX Vantage, FIT Technologies, MorelandConnect, AgileBlue, TrustedSec, KeyBank, Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority, BlueBridge Networks and Jeffrey Stern! My friend, Kevin Goodman, mentioned "trust", it's been a common theme the past few weeks in the circles I run in. People do business with people they know, like and trust. I'm happy to know, like and trust so many of the people on this list and others who were nominated! It was great to see you all, including Esra Yagan, Ted Troxell, Amy Martin, Tony Pietrocola, Sarah Marilyn Barrick, John Flynn, Shawn DaVis, Nicole Stika, Elad Granot 🟦, Chris Berry and so many others! #BeDifferent #BeImpactful #TeamworkMakesTheDreamWork #DoTheWork #Growth #ThisIsCLE #HereComesTheSUN #StayAwesome SUN - We Grow You.
