At last week’s Forbes #ForbesFutureofWork Summit, I talked about how our PinFlex benefit helps our employees decide for themselves how best to balance responsibilities. PinFlex has also been a crucial factor in driving our diverse hire efforts. Before covid, over three-quarters of our talent was local to the San Francisco Bay Area. But in the past year, 63% of our new hires came from regions outside of the Bay Area. Seventy-nine percent of Black, Indigenous, Latiné, Native Hawaiian, and/or Pacific Islander new hires joined us from locations beyond the Bay Area.
