He is a proud Senior Member of IEEE and is enthusiastic about joining Quanta Technology to enhance the use of analytics to improve the operations of the world’s power grids. Data and analytics can be applied across the entire utility spectrum to reduce costs and improve safety, reliability, resiliency, and overall planning and operations. David is a systemic thinker with a proven track record of delivering excellent results. His career in the software industry began in Research & Development (R&D) and IT as an applications developer before he transitioned into a consulting role, working with customers to improve their processes and solve problems using technology and analytics. After gaining experience in enterprise business processes while developing products, he switched career paths and joined sales and marketing, where he gained extensive experience and understanding of the sales and customer lifecycles. After several years of collaborating and leading cross-functional teams as a sales engineer, solutions architect, and product manager supporting enterprise sales across all industries, David moved into management. For the last 12 years, he has built a team of sales engineers, data scientists, and industry consultants supporting technology and analytic sales in the energy industries, including utilities and oil & gas. David looks forward to continuing his work in the energy field and collaborating with the brilliant people at Quanta Technology to assist utility customers in leveraging data and analytics to deliver the electricity our modern world needs to improve lives globally. The Quanta Technology, LLC Digital Transformation team recently held their first-ever CORE® software user-group meeting. This 3-day event was graciously hosted by San Diego Gas & Electric in San Diego, California, and was attended by an additional six companies that are utilizing the CORE suite of tools to automate and manage their protection and control data. Attendees learned about new CORE developments, provided feedback on their usage and desired features, toured local operations centers, and enjoyed evening outings with their industry colleagues. We are incredibly thankful to our CORE community for attending the UGM and helping us chart the future of the CORE suite.
