Last week, the RAND Epstein Family Veterans Policy Research Institute hosted an event to discuss the critical need to improve military to civilian transition. The event came on the heels of the release of our new report examining the $13B federal investment in programs aimed at supporting transition, which highlighted the fact that very few of those dollars are dedicated to helping transitioning service members find civilian employment. There is so much work to do, and we are grateful to Rep. Mark Takano and Sec. Chuck Hagel for their key remarks, along with our speakers and panelists for holding such an important discussion: Jeffrey Wenger, Meredith Kleykamp, John Boerstler, Hon. James Rodriguez, Hon. Dr. Agnes Gereben Schaefer, Ross Dickman, Jared Lyon, V. Darleen Opfer, Mike Haynie, Amber Bloomfield, James Ruhlman. Read the report here: https://lnkd.in/e2-4bxJf
