  • SBM can help your company serve up hope in the community. We’re proud to work with clients to build and support leftover food donation programs. In nearly every community, there are families facing challenges putting food on the table. According to the USDA, more than 34 million Americans are food insecure. Through our partnerships, we help clients donate leftover food to charitable organizations, turning potential waste into valuable resources for those in need.  Many believe that donating food for human consumption exposes organizations to liability. In reality, the Bill Emerson Food Donation Act of 1996 protects organizations that donate both perishable and nonperishable food in good faith.  Not only does donating surplus food help connect an organization to the community in which they operate, but it also satisfies a credit under the TRUE Certification for Zero Waste program. For support in establishing donation programs, we guide clients in collaborating with local food banks or food rescue organizations. Read more about how SBM has helped our clients divert waste by donating surplus food in our sustainability report: https://lnkd.in/gUxqKUAV #ZeroWaste #FoodInsecurity

In just 30 days, SBM can breathe new life into your site. During the recent transition of a pharma client’s site, SBM built a safety culture from the ground up and improved quality levels by 68%.   Before SBM began service, the site was experiencing procedural gaps that impacted the condition and safety of the facilities. The site, dispersed across a broad metropolitan area, lacked standardization and visibility to task completion. With poor-quality levels threatening the productivity of the critical pharmaceutical hub, the client enlisted us to drive immediate improvements. SBM deployed a tenured transition team, including on-location EHS leaders, to introduce and enhance site processes. Along the way, our platform provided full transparency to our progress and ensured completion of every task.  Today, the site remains injury free with sustained quality improvements.   Wonder what the SBM team can do for your site? • At SBM, inclusion isn’t just a goal; it’s our standard. Today, we recognize the 34th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which has transformed millions of lives by providing legal protections and promoting accessibility and inclusion. At SBM, we’re proud to provide employment opportunities for individuals with diverse abilities, empowering these associates to play an active role in driving our clients' missions forward. Across the country, we’ve developed supported employee programs in partnership with organizations that advocate for individuals with disabilities, including a growing relationship with Best Buddies International. “These programs ensure that individuals from all walks of life receive the opportunities and resources they deserve,” said Marie Gallagher, MBS, a Best Buddies Champion at one of our pharmaceutical client’s sites. “Our associates bring unique perspectives and solutions, driving innovation and growth within SBM.” By partnering with organizations like Best Buddies, we are not just opening doors but breaking down barriers, fostering a workplace where everyone can thrive. We are excited to build on these initiatives, creating more opportunities that harness the unique talents and strengths of all individuals.

  • How do you manage 69,444 items sold every minute? It’s all in the details at the world’s most efficient fulfillment centers. Over 200 million items sold within 48 hours, marking a huge win for both our client and SBM. “I was impressed with the exceptional support in keeping work areas clean and operational. Corporate events can generate large amounts of waste. From food packaging to promotional products, it can be easy to plan events without realizing the amount of waste that can end up as trash as a result.  As part of our Zero Waste Services, SBM educates client teams on how to become zero waste event hosts. SBM’s Zero Waste Guidelines help clients understand the impact of events, how best to coordinate and plan with vendors, and how to message the event’s zero waste goal to all participants.  By educating client teams, we empower event planners to take proactive steps that ensure events are hosted sustainably from the start.
