Knowledge Born- Bringing knowledge into existence for all students and educators. Solution Tree Associate (PLC-RTI- Priority Schools)

Ms Brittney McGraw is a hard core equity dawg and RTI savage! I have the pleasure of working with the Star City School District in Arkansas this summer. It’s a one day RTI at Work PD that is being offered on three different dates for any teacher in the district who chooses to attend (not mandatory). On June 28, Brittney was present and was excited as we worked to apply RTI to CTE singleton courses. Imagine my surprise when I walked in the library today for the second group PD (a repeat of my June 28 session for a different group) and saw Brittney front and center with a bunch of binders. I reminded her that this was the same information that she had already seen and she just smiled and said, “Oh I know. I just brought all my stuff so I can fine tune and identify essential standards based on the REAL process. After you left last time I got to thinking about the “A” part and realized that on the end of year assessments for CTE all of my students struggle on math portions. I knew our Algebra teacher was gonna be here today so I brought all of the math standards connected with my course and I’m gonna make a mess over here in the corner and sort out these math components while you are in the room.” Brittney just made a mess at the table and got BUSY! For 6 hours I checked on her, worked with her when other participants were engaged in discourse, and she knocked this stuff out!!! Look at this mess! To my Solution Tree family, and all of my educator friends, this is one of the true RTI DAWGS!!! There are some REAL ones out there doing this work on the front lines while everyone else is sleeping in this summer. Brittney McGraw everyone!!! #PLC #SolutionTree #knowledgeBorn #RTIAW #ForwardFunded #PrioritySchools #CultureRevolution #LearningIsRequired #HustleAndWin #CultureDrivesChange #StartWithTheCrown

Proud to be part of this great group of leaders from CPU who attended the Solution Tree PLC Assessment Institute the past 3 days. Participants learned to harness the power of effective assessment to enhance the teaching and learning process. The institute equipped teachers to use assessment as a powerful tool for student achievement, providing understanding, hope, and motivation for students. These leaders are ready to turbocharge learning at CPU! #atplc #solutiontree Solution Tree

TEDx Speaker •Educational Keynote Speaker• Educational Consultant• Providing PD in the areas of SEL, Cultivating Authentic Relationships, Implicit Bias, The Effects of Trauma, and Best Practices in Literacy.

Today is such a special day for me because 8 years ago today I released my first book for adolescents titled, Who Are You? A Guide to Help Adolescents Navigate Through the Social and Emotional Issues of Life. This book went through a cover redesign after its initial release, but it has gone on to support thousands of middle and high school students and teachers around adolescent SEL. Well today you are able to preorder my upcoming book published by Solution Tree titled, The Trusted Teacher: A Reflective Guide for Impactful Relationships With Secondary Students. This resource was written to support teachers, leaders, and behavior specialist with addressing the SEL needs of secondary students. Through personal experience as well as the work I have been able to do with educators around the country, I have written a book that is meant to be practical in implementation but yet thought provoking when we think about the trust we cultivate with our students. This book is great read alone but even better when read as a team to reflect on collective practice. I would love to support you and your team with the implementation of the principles of this book so send me a message and we can create a customized plan of support. Click the link in the comments to learn more about this work. Don't you just love the cover! #thetrustedteacher #edchat #educationalleadership #sel

Solution Tree Author and Associate; Partner and Lead Associate for V&S School Solutions; Director of Collaborative Learning for the New Hampshire Learning Initiative

Seven years ago I made my way to Arkansas to support East Pointe Elementary School in Greenwood as an associate with Solution Tree. I met Joshua Ray and Faith Short, and immediately connected with both. Little did I know at that time that I would end up co-authoring a book with Josh. We made an immediate connection based upon a number of common threads. First and foremost, our families were our top priority, and that commonality served to be the foundation for everything else we did. We also both recognized in each other an all-encompassing drive to better serve students as well as support the adults we worked with. And, we also both really like fishing. 😊 So, it really made sense that as we were making our "un-boxing video" for our new book, The Foundation for Change: Focusing on the Four Pillars of a PLC at Work, we did it with our families and included some of our common interests. We also wanted to make sure the incredible Solution Tree team, who has been so instrumental in our journey, was included (special shout out to Sarah Payne-Mills for helping out). We hope you enjoy it.

I was so thrilled to contribute to this amazing #unboxing video for The Foundation for Change by Jonathan Vander Els and Joshua Ray! 🐟 Congratulations to you both on a practical and inspirational book! It's an incredible addition to our PLC at Work library. 👏🏼 The authors provide templates, tools, and strategies to ensure a focus on learning for all, not learning for some, through the four pillars of the PLC at Work process: mission, vision, values, and goals. As they ardently state: "The four pillars of the PLC at Work process are truly the foundation for change, as they provide a means to collectively begin to consider the adjustments you must make in both belief and practice to radically transform a system that was never intended to ensure success for every student" (p. 3). The Foundation for Change can serve as a guiding light as schools appraise their current reality and make meaningful changes in their day-to-day work that will have a real impact on student achievement. ⭐ #SolutionTree #ATPLC #PLC #professionaldevelopment #professionallearning #MVVG
