Our Public Safety team has had an exciting past few weeks with projects progressing. The Town of Lexington, MA Police Department had their ribbon cutting for the new Police Headquarters. #TeamTecton previously worked with the Town of Lexington to design and construct a new Fire Headquarters. We hope the Town and their community are enjoying their new public safety facilities. Earlier this month, The City of Greenfield, Massachusetts had the grand opening for their new Fire Headquarters. Tecton is proud to have worked as a Peer Reviewer and Interior Designer with H2M architects + engineers on this project. Congratulations to the City, their emergency responders and community. Lastly, the Peabody Police Department broke ground this month for the construction of their new Public Safety Headquarters. The complex will be powered entirely by electricity, with a backup generator that runs on diesel, with rooftop and parking canopy solar panels to help achieve a low Energy Use Intensity. The project is expected to complete construction in spring 2026. Our work in these projects demonstrates the fascinating dichotomy of how modern technology, like drone photography and 3D digital twins, can be deployed to help document and detail historic architecture with unprecedented accuracy and efficiency.
