The Possible Zone (TPZ) is grateful to Faber Law Group, a firm of former biotech in-house counsels, venture capital senior managers, and pharmaceutical contract specialists, for its recent generous gift to TPZ. This donation provides unrestricted operating support to TPZ’s Student and Family Support Services (SFSS) department. The SFSS team strengthens and stewards the student experience, ensuring that TPZ students experience the Innovation Center and TPZ as collaborative and inclusive spaces that are safe both psychologically and physically. The team also maintains strong relationships and rapport with students, families, and TPZ staff, both individually and collectively, and connects students and families to outside support when necessary. They provide integrated support to promote student well-being, such as 1:1 advising, access to community opportunities that address student and family needs, and enrichment experiences. Faber Law Group actively participates in philanthropic and community engagement initiatives that aim to address important needs in our society. TPZ has been a recipient of Faber’s support previously.

Please join us in welcoming Tori Saia to the TPZ Program Team as our newest Educator/Advisor! Tori has been passionate about education for most of her life, and is dedicated and hopeful about creating learning experiences that humanize and connect. She grew up in Massachusetts and her favorite teacher ever is her mother, a multi-faceted artist, who taught Tori that creativity, care, and curiosity are vital. As a trained English Language Arts teacher, she believes deeply in literacy as a liberatory practice and served for three years as a high school English teacher in Greater Boston. Tori has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Gender Studies from Columbia University and a Master of Arts in Teaching in English Education from Tufts University. Before joining The Possible Zone, she worked for several years in various civic education non-profits as a part of small teams supporting a range of pilot programs - from promoting media literacy education to supporting youth social action projects to training teachers to implement inquiry-based learning. Outside of work, Tori can be found reading, gardening, or baking for family and friends. Welcome to TPZ Tori! TPZ is hiring! Janet Hollingsworth, VP of STEAM & Innovation, writes in our most recent blog, "How can we make the things in our lives better and more inclusive? How can we co-create solutions to hard problems with diverse voices and perspectives (rather than retrofitting solutions)? How can we develop dynamic ecosystems that allow us to embrace circular economies and minimize waste and environmental impact? This, I learned, is the engineering spirit. It’s a gift that frames how I move through life." Read the blog>> #engineering #mindset #womeninengineering https://lnkd.in/eybdtkPY
