Innovation Beyond Waste

About us

“Innovation Beyond Waste” Wastewater itself is no longer waste but a valuable resource for the sustainable society. Seeking to lead this new paradigm, BKT has devoted years to technological innovation in an endeavor to transform wastewater “from cost stream to profit stream”. BKT has created Tomorrow Water Process (TWP) to minimize environmental impacts while maximizing economic benefits from the wastewater. TWP aims to reduceoperation cost from energy savings, sludge volume reductions, and elimination of chemical use. In addition to these savings, TWP also generates profits in the form of carbon credit and advanced energy production with thermal hydrolysis and anaerobic digestion technologies. TWP's core bio filtration technology is able to divert carbon sources for the maximum generation of biogas, overcoming a stringent range of Carbon-to-Nitrogen ratio in its wastewater treatment process with Anammox bacteria. Every single unit of technology is important, but a well-organized and well-balanced process is the most important key factor to realize our mission. To facilitate this vision of sustainable development, BKT has formally registered Tomorrow Water Initiative(#12177) to UN SDGs Partnership and TWP was also accepted as an official SDGs model at 2016 UN ECOSOC High-level segment.

Tomorrow Water is proud to announce a significant milestone in our journey towards sustainable wastewater treatment. We've secured a new US patent for our energy-efficient Anammox nitrogen removal process, "AMX," optimized for mainstream applications. This breakthrough aligns with our commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in clean water & sanitation, affordable clean energy, industry innovation, and climate action. Mainstream Anammox nitrogen removal is an important target in advanced wastewater treatment, and our patented technology addresses the challenges of partial nitritation and opens the door to sustainably reducing the environmental impact of nitrogen pollution. Tomorrow Water's "tomorrow water process" (twp) integrates this patented AMX technology with Proteus+, symbolizing our vision of making wastewater treatment more affordable and accessible. The twp reduces treatment time significantly, saving money, energy, GHGs, and space, making it a game-changer for underserved communities and developing countries. As we continue to innovate and lead in sustainable wastewater solutions, we invite you to join us in contributing to a cleaner, more sustainable future. We're excited to share that we have teamed up with MICR'EAU, a leading water treatment and biogas engineering company in South America and Europe. As our sustainable technologies and solutions gain global attention, MICR'EAU will be Tomorrow Water's third international representative and our first one in South America, promoting our Integrated Upstream Process "IUP" and Proteus solutions in Chile and Colombia. MICR'EAU Group shares our passion for innovation and has a wealth of experience in the municipal and industrial sectors. They are a great fit for our strategic vision and we look forward to working together to tackle water pollution and water scarcity in Chile and Colombia. Chile is facing a severe and ongoing mega-drought caused by human-induced climate change, which has devastated livelihoods and biodiversity and threatened water and food security. Earth.Org reports that. Water pollution is a major problem in South America, as a large portion of water is untreated for human use and consumption. For example, industrial pollution contaminates many water bodies, such as the Medellin River in Colombia, making them unsafe. According to the United Nations SDG 6 data, only 19% of domestic wastewater in Colombia is safely treated. Our partnership will help us spread the word about our technologies and projects beyond the US, ensuring cleaner wastewater treatment and more sustainable energy solutions. Check https://lnkd.in/g8bU45RZ and stay tuned for more updates on our new partnership with Micr'Eau!

Are you looking to revolutionize your wastewater treatment experience? At Tomorrow Water, we pride ourselves on delivering cutting-edge technologies and Proteus is one of them! Proteus is the state of the art for advanced HR primary filtration and biofiltration for a wide range of any WWTP operator's treatment needs and applications. How does the Proteus technology work? Proteus uses up-flow reactors that contain the novel patented resilient x-shaped floating media •Influent wastewater flows by gravity into the bottom of the Proteus reactor •Wastewater flows upwards through the packed media bed, where the treatment occurs, physical or biological, and through the strainer block that retains the floating media beads •Oxic/anoxic conditions, for primary filtration or different biofiltration functions, can be configured and designed based on the existence and/or location of air diffusers relative to the media bed •A layer of filtered effluent is maintained on the top of the strainer block to be used for backwashing the media bed. The backwash is simply and effectively done by gravity (no pumping) using only the filter effluent, no separate BW water or tanks! 💪 •After the desired removal level of pollutants of interest is achieved, the filtered effluent leaves the Proteus system and continues to the next stage in the treatment process 🌊 Proteus is an integral component of TW's Process 1.2.3! Stay tuned for more details in the coming months 😉 Explore our full range of innovative products that can transform the way wastewater and biosolids are treated by visiting our website for more information and contact us today! https://lnkd.in/eTW-hJBE #wastewater #innovation

Tomorrow Water offers innovative solutions for industrial process applications by addressing industrial water challenges with a sustainable approach to water management. We provide cutting-edge solutions tailored for industrial processes, concentrating on the following key areas: •Wastewater •Residuals Management •Process Water •Water & Valuable Material Recovery/Reuse Tomorrow Water was able to address the Pulmuone Foods USA, Inc. challenges and needs. Expanding their manufacturing capacity quickly to address increasing demand for their products, Pulmuone Foods USA faced a potential significant escalation of their already rising sewer discharge fees if their wastewater treatment needs were not managed effectively and economically. Being in a heavily populated area with limited space added another layer of complexity. Tomorrow Water innovatively repurposed six shipping docks into a complete wastewater treatment facility, handling permitting, engineering, equipment supply, and construction all within a very demanding time frame. The comprehensive solution featured mechanical screening, MBBR, DAF, and sludge dewatering. The Impact: In addition to maintaining their status as a good neighbor and focusing on their core production activities, Pulmuone Foods USA, Inc. annual sewer charges dropped significantly. This transformation showcases the power of innovative solutions in addressing environmental challenges and optimizing costs.
