In honor of #AAPIHeritageMonth, our WAVE BRG hosted a screening of the HBO Original series #TheSympathizer for WBD employees in Burbank. Following the screening, Viet Thanh Nguyen, executive producer and author of the Pulitzer-Prize winning novel, joined a panel conversation alongside the show's Vietnamese dialogue consultant Jenni Trang Lê and podcast host Kenneth Nguyen to discuss the creative process of moving the story from page to screen. Together they also explored the nuances of cultural consulting and the history and current landscape of Vietnamese representation in entertainment and media.
